‘Sometimes a teacher, always a student’
Yoga first impacted my life when I became unwell with chronic fatigue syndrome. Yoga helped me regain both physical and mental strength after a 4 year health battle. As I regained my health I decided I wanted to help those in similar positions find the healing gifts of yoga and completed my 200hr YTT at Gayatri Yoga School in Vinyasa and Hatha yoga in 2023.
In addition to my yoga training, I graduated Dundee University with a BSc (hons) in anatomy, and am working towards a MSc in physiotherapy, meaning my classes are anatomically informed to help you practice in a safe way for your unique body. As a naturally ‘non-bendy’ person myself, I aim to make my classes inclusive to all bodies, and strive to remain in-keeping with yogic tradition through the use of mantra, mudra and yogic philosophy.
I believe we all bring unique play, perspective and lessons to our practice, on and off the mat. I look forward to welcoming you, exactly as you are, and sharing our practice together. Hari Om, Ellen.
