4 Week Beginners Course Crieff Studio

Held in the evening, the 4 week Yoga Basics Course readily prepares and equips you with all you need to be informed and confident in practising yoga. Join Kelly & Jenna and develop a solid understanding of fundamentals which will allow you to feel confident joining the regular classes. This course includes online study and optional home practice.

 

Week 1: In this part, we begin learning basic asana, fundamentals, and breath. We have fun exploring different ways to understand alignment and understand the importance of structure and perceptual accuracy.

 

Week 2: Introduction to some key standing postures, their purpose, and benefits. We will also look at balancing postures such as Tree and Warrior III.

 

Week 3: Bringing together everything we have covered so far into a full class practice including elements of breath work, postures, and meditation. We will have fun exploring inversions and open new possibilities of yoga challenges.

 

Week 4: In our final week, we will focus on deepening your practice with restorative poses and guided relaxation. We’ll review key concepts and postures, ensuring you feel confident and prepared to continue your yoga journey. This session will emphasise the importance of a balanced practice and offer personalised adjustments to enhance your individual progress.

Learn the basic Hatha Yoga poses and principles with Gillian in this weekly guided yoga class for beginners. Simple and clear guidance to yoga asanas, breathwork, relaxation, mindfulness, and yoga philosophy. Enjoy the best start to your yoga journey – we are honoured to be part of it.

If you have never practiced yoga before, it can often be overwhelming to find a yoga class for beginners that is best suited to you.

There is absolutely no experience required to join our beginners class. It is designed for those who have never practiced yoga before, and for those who are returning to yoga after having a break and for those who would like to learn more about the names of postures, breathing exercises and practical stretching techniques.

You are welcome to join every week or even once! There is no commitment required and a single class is £13. Join Gillian every Monday at 10am.
